Be a Pilates Goal Getter

It’s a new year! A great time to set goals and make resolutions. Honestly, I like setting goals throughout the year and I have several that I am working towards. So let’s look at this as your “First Pilates Goal of the Year”.

At the beginning of 2017, my client Sue told me that her goal was to achieve Teaser by the end of the year. It was on December 19, 2017, when I witnessed Sue demonstrated a beautifully controlled teaser on the mat. I clapped and cheered! I was so proud of her. She had a goal, she was consistent with attending classes, she was dedicated to her Pilates, the gym, body rolling, stretching and regular therapies like massage and chiropractor. She achieved her goal! Sue was my first b.PILATES and Personal Training Goal Getter.

Whose next?

Maybe me? I have committed to keeping up with my own Pilates practice but I decided that I need a more specific Pilates goal.

Maybe another client, friend or family member or colleague will join in and get their Pilates goal.

Let’s get started now with your First Pilates Goal of 2018.

What are you going to pick? What am I going to pick?

It quite possibly could be an exercise that you have done many times before. It can be adding a second Pilates workout to your regular workout schedule. It may even be a Pilates exercise that you have seen in a photo or a video.

Ok, I’ve done some thinking.

My Pilates goal is to do a handstand, followed by the push-up series with my feet on the pedal on the Wunda Chair. I can do portions of these exercises but want to master it by transitioning into position

from sitting on the chair with the pedal down, not getting

bucked off the pedal  and transitioning back to sitting on the chair.

Give it some thought, do some exploring, ask me for ideas and fill in the blank.

My First 2018 Pilates Goal is ____________________ .

Then let’s plan out how you are going to get your goal.  I can’t wait to hear your goals and help you to achieve them!
