Pilates makes you feel good. I hear it all the time from clients when they say things like “I feel so great after class. I wish I could do Pilates every day.” I wish you could, too! (You can, by the way.) The more I kept hearing people say this, the more I realized something was holding them back from doing Pilates every day, and it became my mission to fix that.
I Do Pilates Every Day
To be fair, doing Pilates is my career and I have a studio in my home. But it may surprise you to know that I often do Pilates outside of the studio! After spending all day “at work”, I will often roll out my yoga mat in the living room to do a mat workout from a video or do the moves I know I need. On those long working days, doing ten or fifteen minutes of Pilates always makes me feel better – and you can do this too!
If anyone can do mat Pilates whenever they want to, why aren’t they? It seems to come down to two big reasons:
- You don’t know how to do Pilates yet
- You aren’t confident in the knowledge you do have.
This is where I can help. I can teach you how to do Pilates all by yourself, for yourself, when it’s convenient for you.
Learn Every Day Pilates
I run three or four challenges a year to keep you accountable to yourself, challenge you, and have fun at the same time. These challenges have been 7 days, 10 days, and even a month long! Some have had live Zoom classes, while others included strength training. But none of them has ever taught you a routine that you can learn, practice, and just do whenever you want… Until now.
I want you to feel confident in your Pilates so you can do it on your own when you need it, and I’m going to teach you how. On September 18th, 2022, we start The Pilates Cure, a seven-day challenge.
The Pilates Cure
I decided to name this challenge The Pilates Cure because it’s cured my foot and calf pain, and I’ve seen it cure countless clients from back, hip, and knee pain. It helps you to become more aware of how you move in other activities and through life. It completely changed how I sat on a bike, and I now notice every time I shift my weight to my life side while talking to someone or while I work in the kitchen. When you become aware of inhabits and imbalances in strength and mobility, you can take action to avoid future injuries.
Doing Pilates every day will also make a huge difference when you come to the studio. Even short workouts will slowly add up to seeing huge changes in your body and ability. Do you struggle with the teaser on the reformer? The more you work on it on the mat, the easier it will become on the apparatus.
You’ll also start to notice an improvement in how you feel in other areas of your life. I often get a tight lower back after a run. Daily Pilates (even ten minutes of it!) has my back feeling better right away and the next morning I feel great. Tight muscles are normal, and don’t need to be suffered through or chalked up to “getting older”. Not with The Pilates Cure.
