In this deck you will find every exercise in the Reformer order that Lesley Logan’s teacher Jay Grimes taught her. He studied with Joseph Pilates. You’ll also find some exercises that Lesley has learned along the way to help you progress your Pilates practice.
Every card has the exercise “Set Up,” “Action,” and a “Transition” to the next exercise, as well as substitutions, tips, reps and spring suggestions. PLUS! The fancy OPC barcode will allow you to easily find the video that goes along with the exercise! Get more tips when you watch the videos.
Challenge your memory by looking at the picture and guessing the exercise name, and what comes before it or after it. Study up on what you need to know to do the exercise.
Also, Lesley threw in some bonus exercises to help you progress to some of the more challenging exercises. Use them in place of any exercise that you don’t feel ready for yet. And, some Super Advanced exercises that, while you may never do (Lesley doesn’t do most very often,) it’s fun to see what exercises lead up to them and for you to have something else to work toward as you progress your practice. • a full description of the exercise setup and body positioning,
• the actions you take while doing the exercise,
• how you transition into the next exercise of the order,
• the number of the exercise in Joseph Pilates’s order
• how many reps you should do
• how many springs you need
• the position of the headrest and footbar
• any safety tips you would need to keep in mind for you or your clients
• any substitutions you may want to try, and
• a quick tip for each exercise
