Reasons To Do Pilates Teacher Training

Have you been thinking about doing Pilates teacher training but haven’t yet taken the leap? I get it – teacher training is a big commitment! It is also very rewarding. If you’re still on the fence, here are some great reasons to consider doing teacher training – and not all of them involve becoming a teacher yourself.

1. Deepen Your Personal Practice

Pilates teacher training offers an exciting opportunity to improve your own understanding of the method. You’ll learn about body anatomy and mechanics as well as the “why” behind the “how” of the exercises. This will show up in your own practice as better form and deeper connections within your body.

2. Share Your Passion

When you love something, it just makes sense that you’ll want to share it with others. Becoming a teacher is a fun way to bring the power of Pilates to more people, where you can inspire them to feel and move better, too.

3. Grow Your Career

The fitness and wellness industry is always growing, and Pilates is becoming more popular around the world. As a certified Pilates instructor, you can add to your existing certifications or get started in this rewarding industry. The skills and knowledge you’ll gain through teacher training will open a variety of doors, from teaching in your own studio, at a gym, or adding to your existing offerings.

5. Join a Supportive Community

Your Pilates teacher training cohort is filled with like-minded individuals. You’ll connect with other students and instructors who are just as passionate about health and fitness, and who will walk alongside you through the course. By the end, you’ll have made shared memories and lasting friendships.

6. Challenge Yourself

Becoming a Pilates instructor is both a physical and mental challenge, one that you can be proud of accomplishing. And, as you learn to teach others, you’ll work on your communication and leadership skills, which is a huge confidence boost! You’ll also come away with more self-awareness and maybe even a stronger sense of purpose. The work is definitely worth the outcome.

Continue Your Journey with Pilates Teacher Training

Whether you’re looking to deepen your practice, pursue a new career, or simply enrich your understanding of the Pilates method and movement, Pilates teacher training has a lot to offer. Beyond the certification and skills, you’ll come away equipped with the tools to inspire others while continuing on your own path (wherever it may lead).
